Optical exhibition in Munich

On January 9-11, the Bavarian capital of Munich (Germany) hosted one of the biggest European International Optical Exhibitions – Opti 2015. This annual optics show attracts a wide range of optical industry representatives from around the world, presenting the latest ophthalmology news and related medical and business trends. This year it was attended by more than 500 companies and nearly 30,000 visitors. Traditionally, the exhibition in Munich is more focused on the German market. The largest exhibition stands presented flagships of the German optics industry, such as RODENSTOCK and ZEISS, also French ESSILOR, Japanese SEIKO and others. UAB BRD and representatives of the BOD Group companies also participated as guests of the exhibition. As already announced, since mid-February UAB BRD will open a new optical lens plant-laboratory near Vilnius, in Guopstai village, and start the production of progressive eyeglass lens in Lithuania.

Within three days of the exhibition, UAB BRD representatives met with their optical lens equipment suppliers – the German company SCHNEIDER, met with current and prospective partners, learnt about the latest optical lens manufacturing equipment, equipment for eye testing, and the latest trends in fashion glass designs.
