On the 31st of July, international business, finance and sales executives from Carl Zeiss Vision, one of the most famous and largest German manufacturers of optical lenses, came for a two-day visit to the BOD Group High Technology Center LIGHT Wing. The guests presented their company and viewed BRD UAB’s optical-lens design and production processes.
Carl Zeiss AG, one of the world's oldest manufacturing companies for industrial optics, optical systems and industrial measurements, was founded by optics engineer Carl Zeiss in Jena, Germany, in 1846. Along with Ernst Abbe (1866) and Otto Schott (from 1884), he formed the basis of the modern optics industry.
As one of the world´s leading manufacturers, the Vision Care business group at Carl Zeiss combines ophthalmic expertise and solutions under an international brand. The group develops and produces technologically high-quality instruments and offerings for the entire glasses value chain.
